It's the identification number/name you use after you log in to the servers. They are both visible to other players when you are in a game lobby. In that thread you can make a request to get them changed.

I haven't have a chance to log in yet......So the in-game name IS NOT the same as your user name in the forum???

Ah that place. That is where you can request your ID to a new and cooler and your HN to look smaller.
You can only put 6 letters in your requesting ID.
Heres mine ID:SILVER

The ID is up to a six digit mix of numbers and letters that allows players to add you to their friendlist/banlist. The HN is your handle. This is the name people will see when you join their game. It can be your username if you want, or it can be something completely different. That is up to you. You can use that ID/HN change topic to change the HN to a smaller neater font which makes it so you can add more characters to your HN.
