Outbreak Server Resurrection

Please note that the forum will not be available this evening for approx. 2 hours.
We have to install major updates of the forum software and some plugins.

Logins for the game are bound to the forum. This means playing will most likely not be possible!

The update had more important changes than I thought and we're not back to normal yet.

- shoutbox is not working at all
- our customized themes need some reworking
- links to status page and game preferences need to be restored
- some users (including me) cannot log into the game. I know the cause of the error (modified hash functions in phpBB) but the needed changes take some time.

IMPORTANT: If you log into the forum your password hash is recalculated. This locks you out from the games! Don't worry, tomorrow this is fixed.

I was shocked to see no shoutbox lol Glad it's not something planned. Also I had a feeling the reason I could no longer log into the game was because I logged in the forum during the maintenance... Guess I'll have to wait

ohhh lol good thing i read this. i thought my game was broken and wasnt letting me log into online for the game. i was getting angry. and i also noticed the website looking different as well. i shouldve realized there shouldve been an update going on. lol but ok im happy again.

Update:

- logins for ingame are back to normal and work with the old and the new hash algorithms (that means even people never coming to the forum can continue to play)
- CAPTCHAs are working again, registrations are reopened

Hurry, we all need to cyber asap.

Obsrv feels so empty without the shoutbox, I can't believe there was even a time here where we didn't have it. It feels like that was forever ago.

It's cool that you are implementing changes, fog. Take all the time you need.

@Herbivore: Looks like you'll have to resort to the online lobby in the meantime for that.
