Welcome to the OB family .

Online play is different from offline play. You can get slowdown due to lag and this makes it easier to get hit. Sometimes it can seem like enemies are teleporting around and you get hit without seeing anything coming towards you, which adds to the challenge! . Some item locations are different. Also learning to work together with other players requires some practice .

Does the Internet connection speed matter? My bandwidth is 60 Mb/s.

Just a few differences...mostly with the key items.

No universally used App, just use the chatbox that is at the bottom of OBSRV.ORG main page or click "Chat" in top menu. You can arrange to use other Apps like Discord etc when you chat/play with other players. Can use the before/after game lobbies to chat with players too .

I was actually thinking about something like Discord, particularly since I have a headet that I could use instead of the Ad-lib system, the latter of which, in my opinion, was one of the biggest reasons why this game failed so much back in the day.
