Outbreak Server Resurrection

OBSRV has been around for almost a decade now, yet the communication side of things has been rather stagnant. Initially, we were against getting a discord server due to the third party nature and requiring a different account in order to use, but given how the shoutbox has been through a couple bumps in the road, and the growing demand for a discord server, we thought now might be the time to make the switch. You kids and your silly internet trends want it, so here it is! We'd like to introduce the officially endorsed discord server for OBSRV! Nothing too fancy as of right now, but depending on demand, we may change a couple things. Click the link below to join. As for the shoutbox, it is in the process of being removed, so savor it while it lasts.

Thank you for the official swap! Its so much easier for me to use Discord mobile than the chatbox was. I like to play with my emulator laptop hooked up to a TV while I chat on my phone so this makes things even comfier.

But why shoutbox is will be remove? Honestly, I like chat in here more than Discord.

I guess this is bad news cause I rarely using Discord.

Guess we'll just have to find a new way of chatting lol hope you can get back into using Discord more often.

Discord is easier on the go, faster and there is no random big latency when you send messages. The shoutbox will be missed specially for us older members, although most of its original messages Feb/2014-Dec/2016 were already purged in benefit or performance anyways. So there is that again: progress. Gotta move on and forward.

Its a good way to stay in touch with each other and the higher ups. In case someone new joins and needs help, or a filthy cheater needs reported, the discord server will be there to provide! its also a good way for our little OBSRV family to keep ourselves socialized during this damn outbreak crisis. (no pun intended)

Is the auto-login option still going to be available, at least?

Hopefully the Shoutout box remains as people can decide if they want to talk on Discord or the shoutout itself. Knowing that the chat can get very laggy. Some people doesn't want to use Discord at all. It's not a bad idea to bring the Discord Offical OBSRV Server to help out those who seek to voice and help out new players alot easier.

We’re looking into options to integrate the discord chat into the forum but nothing’s been decided yet.
