I support this decision fog, its sad its had to end up coming to this, but in a way having closed registration for awhile is a good thing, although new players wont get to play in a way its for their own benefit that they don't encounter Hackers or TK's. I just find it pitiful and sad that a small group of 2-3 people can force many to not have fun or get the chance to experience this game.

I actually think that a phone registration would be a good way to combat these problems, sure, some people may not like but, But i believe that if explained during registration why it has become necessary people would accept it and be inclined to do it, you could always validate new members by yourself with assistance from the forum mods but that would be time consuming and tedious.

did it really go this bad?

all I can say, do not make it cellphone registration or make registrations disabled permanently. it's pointless and it will only drive away potentional new members.

But what about new members? If new people will want to register and play, they'll not be able to play. Not many people playing in both Files. Also singleplayer is boring, so some new players will want to play in cooperative, but they can't - where is their benefit? I don't see any benefit, only loss.

I agree. It makes no sense and it's may add new problems.

This is only a temporary solution. Registration will most likely be closed until an alternative is found.

Ok, then I hope that solution will be found. Ban IP doesn't working?

We already banned that account after the video came out.

His whole "hack bypass" the registration is actually a lie and misleading. When we globally unbanned everyone in May, EVERY SINGLE account was unbanned. And he had ton of accounts made before our registration lock which was recent... so no he simply had an account made before the lock.

4- enter OBserver website
5- logout and look for the word (register)
6- cry under bed

So, what exactly can we do if someone new wants to join? I have someone who would like to play.

Currently new players need a little patience.
We will reenable registrations in a few days.
