I'm open to it. I'm well aware they're going for the OTS style to appeal to a wider market, but as long as the end result is great, I'm happy. And I like what I've seen so far.

If you have the translation patch, there should be instructions that come with the patch that explains that. As for playing with a friend, you simply hit the network option in the main menu of the game, and if you have it patched to English, the rest is relatively self explanatory.
